So for any of you product liability attorneys out there: The latch on our oven door did not work properly and it closed on my arm while I was taking out some sandwiches I had toasting in there. The burn was getting worse and worse everyday and I managed to zing it on the ride we went on at the Renaissance Festival (the swing thing). To top it off and despite having reapplied sunscreen twice I managed to get a nice sunburn during the festival. I can hear Seamus' godmother now - "You're a mess! Just an accident waiting to happen." Except I wish the accidents would wait longer - they don't seem to wait at all they just keep coming.
So the 4th was celebrated quietly.

Izabel ready for the show - this picnic blanket is seeing a lot of action this summer |
Matt took Izabel down to the Lone Tree Fireworks. He met some lovely people wearing khaki shorts, dress shirts, and holding stemware glasses of wine - because that is how you roll through the Lone Tree. [Every time I talk about Lone Tree I think of Old Man Peabody and the
Twin Lone Pine Mall - "One-point-twenty-one jigawatts"] Seamus fell asleep just before it was time to leave so his hat did not get to watch the excitement, and since I was not there to curb the photography there were a few extra pictures taken.
