Dino Digging

Morrison is where the Red Rocks Amphitheater is

Today the countdown to Seamus' last occupational and speech therapy visits in-home (since he will get those services at school come August) clicked one off - he had speech therapy today and has one more visit with each therapist next week.  Thankfully he was in a talking mood.

Last week Izabel attended an online dinosaur camp with her school.  Don't ask what they did we just linked her class up with a program they use for her school called eluminate and let her have fun.  So, after lunch we went to the Morrison Natural History Museum.  Its a little museum with examples of dinosaurs from the Morrison/Golden area, especially footprints, and examples of animal alive today whose ancestors were alive 3 million years ago give or take a few years.  If anyone has been to the dinosaur ridge they are a couple of exits away and fairly similar.

"No pictures now we are excavating" Direct Izabelism

Standing on an Iguanadon footprint - and a nice pic of Great Granma Joyce's Thunderbird in the background (ka-kah - the call of the thunderchicken)
This one has baby (modeled actually size) and Mom footprints complete with nail imprint.

Izabel's finds in the dig - some ancient shells, some called devil's toes and the white one is a clam
Izabel vising a troll - I was excepting a brother or Matt to pop out.
