These are a few hodge-podge pictures.  Totem is Izabel's pocket pet project for 4-H.  To add to her project she did a presentation to Seamus' school.  To add to the presentation Totem got a bath.
Matt took the kids to the zoo so there are a few pictures of that, as well.
Seamus had his hearing tested, as well.  It all came out clear.  It seems that the scarring from his ear-injuring-fall is causing him some pain so he doesn't want the headphones on and gets distracted when being tested.
For Mother's day weekend:  We added hedgehogs and tenrecs to the mix.  No, we did not get one; the kids went to a presentation at the library.  It was super busy but we met several tenrecs.  They are like hedgehogs but they have prehensile toes and can hang on (apparently unlike hedgehogs).  They are from Madagascar (home to my favorite song "I like to move it, move it") and are only about 100 in the U.S.  So, having 7 in front of us was an experience.   Check them out here.
We also went for a hike in perfect for hiking weather except for the thunderstorm that rolled in when we were 2 miles out on the trial.

These pictures are just for Ms. Brittny!

Hearing test!

Reading in bed.

It must be funny for Cousin Keegan to see Seamus wearing his clothes so much!  This photo and the last are hand-me-downs.  There are advantages to being the youngest, and a boy!

Izabel's presentation to Seamus' class.

She did an awesome job.  She even asked the kids what there name is as she made her way around.  "What's your name?  Oh, my brother talks about you all of the time."

Hedgehog presentation.

These are Tenrecs

Hedgehogs - when they get scared they hide there heads in toilet paper rolls then walk around with them stuck on their heads.  Kind-of like toddlers who cover their eyes thinking that means you can't see them.

Izabel and a tenrec.

Seamus pets a tenrec (they feel like a bristle brush and hedgehogs feel like uncooked rice)

Garden of the Gods in the background.

This one is for Aunt Marie - young birdwatchers.

Seamus got a hold of one of my hiking poles.  He used it to heard the family and order us around.  "Okay, Izabel you line leader.  Do you want marching or running?" "Marching" "Okay, we are marching and marching and STOP!"  He would then swing it around in a circle and yell at us for not being in a straight line as we dodged the pole.

Last Saturday we drove to Sterling - the back way.  It is a beautiful drive and the kids got a lesson on renewable energy with a close up encounter with a wind farm.  They had a blast visiting Seamus' Godmother and a Birthday Girl Lexi.

Superman swinging.

Seamus enjoyed some fashion options.  He got his sparkle on.

Birthday Girl.

Ready for cake.

On the way home Matt said how nice it was that Seamus' fashion sense was accepted by all who attended.
The Great Seamoso - While Seamus was showing me a new fashion creation....
Me: You really like wearing dresses?
Seamus: YES!
Me: Do you know any other boys who wear dresses too?
Seamus: Yep.
Me: You do? Who?
Seamus: Lexi wears dresses.  He likes them.
Me: Is Lexi a boy or a girl?
Seamus: (laughing) a girl.

Now we know why his school goals for next year include proper use of pronouns.

Cruising the neighborhood.

One more passenger to pick-up.
